Andy Pettitte had a strong, vquzeshuf start to the game last night, allowing only 1 run through the 1st four innings.
But it started to go down hill after a two run homer in the 5th. With a total of 92 pitches thrown by the 6th inning, and a 2nd home run, a single brought in another RBI.
He said he will have to check on his mechanics over the next four days, but certainly if there were a couple of offerings he'd like to yank back, he knew which ones he'd go for. "That's the way the game is," Pettitte said. "You make a mistake and they're going to make you pay for it."
Ian Kennedy will start tonight's game, so we'll see if we can at least win one game in this series against the Detroit Tigers.
